I’m Don Cruse ([firm profile](http://www.doncruse.com/about-don.html)), the person behind the blog.

My first job as a lawyer was as a briefing attorney at the Supreme Court of Texas. After a few years working as a commercial litigator at a national law firm, I returned to Austin to handle appeals within the Solicitor General’s division of the Texas Office of the Attorney General.

I now handle appellate cases in private practice, in Texas state and federal courts.
