SCOTXblog focuses on Texas appellate practice, with (as you would expect) particular attention paid to the Supreme Court of Texas.

If you would like occasional emails about new posts:

Social Media Feeds and RSS

For many years, the blog published links to each week’s new opinions (as well as the occasional blog post) on Twitter. The code I wrote to automate that ran smoothly for more than a decade. Sometime in 2023, Twitter just stopped accepting the new posts I was sending. So it goes.

Today, the easiest way to access the same feed of information is through this comprehensive RSS feed. If you for some reason want just my blog posts, not the Court’s opinions, you can use this narrower RSS feed.

My posts also appear on both federated platforms. If your service of choice can read the mastodon protocol (as Threads can), you should be able to follow this Mastodon page. If your service of choice is linked to the Bluesky atmosphere, you can access my feed through this bridged profile instead.

About the Editor

I’m Don Cruse (firm profile), the person behind the blog.

My first job as a lawyer was as a briefing attorney at the Supreme Court of Texas. After a few years working as a commercial litigator at a national law firm, I returned to Austin to handle appeals within the Solicitor General’s division of the Texas Office of the Attorney General.

I now handle appellate cases in private practice, in Texas state and federal courts.
